how can a moody boy still be so cute
Poor Tyler has been a moody little boy lately, which we found out was because of a double ear infection :( We spent last weekend at a friend's lake house, which was a little difficult with a sick little man. The last picture captures his attitude for a majority of the trip. On the way home from the lake we decided that either Tyler was sick or we were going to have boot camp at our house when we got home because he was jsut pitching fits at any little thing. He is some better now, but still not his normal self. One highlight of the trip for him was playing with their dogs, he fell in love with them and I have never seen dogs that were so awesome with kids. Tyler would yank on their ears, put his hands in their mouths and step on them and they just kept lovong on him- it was so sweet!
We have still managed to have some fun this week, playing with friends in Athens and in Jefferson. Today we got to play and do lunch with a group of Tyler's little buddies in Athens that we had not seen in a while. After we got home, I caught him in the bathroom with an entire roll of toilet paper in the toilet-man was he having fun!!! He continues to have a bit of a shoe fettish, and loves putting everyone's shoes on, as you can see in the picture with Jamie's shoes.

Happy Fathers Day....
to all the amazing men in our lives. We had a great weekend full of family time and for the first time in a month we spent the weekend at home. Friday night we celebrated Dad's birthday, Saturday a bunch of Jamie's family came up and then Sunday after church we went to the park with Dad and then came home to a fun night of grilling out with both of our dads. I have to say though that the highlight of our fathers day was when Tyler and I took Jamie breakfast in bed and it was like Tyler knew exactly what the occasion was. He crawled over to Jamie, handed him his waffle with the biggest smile, then got the card and handed it to Jamie all with the cutest look on his face.... those are the moments when I realize just how blessed I am.
Today we went to the pool. Now that swimming lessons are over we have some things to work on in the pool :)

Fun In The Sun
Today we visited the Sprayground, a water playground in Gainesvile. It was a very fun way to stay cool.
Tyler started swim lessons this week, he has surprised me with how much he enjoys the water, and he is even going under. It is so cute he just smiles and gets excited after going under. Monday night he even cried when it was time to get out. This sort of surprised me because anyone who knows our little man knows that he can be a bit dramatic :)
Over the weekend we went to the mountains to hang out with the Williams boys. Jamie and I were already keeping Ashley for the weekend so we decided to just combine all the kids. We think O'Neal has a crush on Ashley, as you can see in one of the pictures he was feeding her, and later they were holding hands- it was so cute!
We also visited INK (Interactive Neighborhood for Kids) recently. It is a children's museum in Gainesvile. It was really neat because only our group was there that day and they have a ton of fun exploration activities for kids. Tyler's favorite was the child-sized grocery store complete with carts, a checkout lane that worked and products to purchase.
Monday was my last day of work so we are just enjoying the summer!!!

Beach Bums
We have been out of town the past three weekends, all of which have been very fun, and I just realized that means I have not posted in three weeks. The first weekend we went camping at Stone Mountain with the Atkinson clan, last weekend we went to the mountains and then to Memorial Meat, and then we got home today from a long beach weekend with Jamie's family. It has been so much fun to have the opportunity to hang out with all of the wonderful children in our family, and Tyler has really enjoyed all his cousins. In the mountains he got to play with his twin cousins that are one week younger than him, which was a real treat since we don't get to see them very often.
I knew Tyler would enjoy the beach weekend because he loves being outside, but I had no idea he would love the ocean as much as he did. Jamie kept taking him out in the ocean and he would just laugh and stomp his feet, wanting to go further out- it was too cute! The waves would hit him in the face and he would just get more excited. He also loved the pool, which makes me excited about swim lessons, which we start next week.
